Mission
Religion
In a society that strives to dismantle the social fabric, ‘religion’ regains its original meaning of ‘connecting’. To this end, the Luxembourg Jewish Foundation is the body that brings together the Jewish communities of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and supports Jewish institutions and organisations.
Its primary mission is to reorient individuals towards the collective. This is why it helps people in need and supports actions that contribute to this.
Judaism is based on tangible supports that guarantee its continuity. It therefore ensures the preservation and maintenance of places of worship and ritual baths (Mikveh) and services related to compliance with dietary rules. It provides support during times of grief by performing funeral rituals.
The Foundation supports all actions and projects aimed at promoting Judaism, the main Jewish contributors to society and their achievements in the fields of culture, art, music and science through the awarding of a biannual prize.
